It goes back to when I 'enrolled'. I'd just bought 'Live/Dead' when, a few days later, 'Skull (Skeleton) and Roses' came out. I love the 'Live/Dead' cover (front, back and inner photos) but 'Skull and Roses' put down a marker that was never rubbed-out (at least for me). Maybe 'SYF' has superceeded it, but for us 'early boys' (not trying to score points 'cos I know hundreds of thousands beat me to it) 'S&R' is the one for me ..........

Gotta agree...though I had the first, that cover was mainstream.

After S&R, though, yrs later, going back to get Aox, I did it purely for the cover....

Yup...skull and roses it is. Even saved up my nickles and dimes to purchase a Mouse overpainted one with his iconic signature. Kinda the centerpiece of my small collection.

Not sure why, but in my mind (a dark and dangerous place) St. Stephen is tied to the skull and roses emblem.

I would think that the syf is the most commonly associated image, but mine is s & r.
